Scarborough Waterfront Engagement | Ela & Cameron | Scarborough Wedding Photographer

I met Ela and Cameron at Brianne and Justin's wedding at the Guild Inn the year before and I had a blast hanging out with them on the wedding day - I felt like I spent the day with some old friends. When Ela contacted me the next year and told me that her and Cameron got engaged, I was ecstatic - and was super excited and honoured that they asked me to photograph and videograph their wedding.

When we were looking at potential spots for a fall engagement shoot it really was no contest. Since Ela and Cameron and a number of their close friends live in South Scarborough we decided to go down to their old stomping grounds by the bluffs. Although I grew up in Markham and have worked in Scarborough for many years my knowledge of secret passage ways and hidden beaches below the Bluffs was nothing compared to Ela and Cameron's local knowledge. At points I felt like a tourist in what was essentially my own backyard for a number of years ( I led youth groups through Scarborough rec and conservation areas, many, many years prior).

The shoot was perfect and the warm colours of the sunset tied in really well with the colours of falling leaves.

Unfortunately due to the Emergency Orders as a result of Covid 10 Ela and Cameron decide to postpone their wedding reception. They still tied the knot on their planned wedding day with their friends and family joining in over video chat.

Can't wait for the (rescheduled) wedding!
