One thing that I’ve realized as a Durham Region based wedding photographer is that I absolutely love unusual locations for photos. When the opportunity came up to photograph Jessica and Sohail’s engagement at beautiful South Pond Farms in Pontypool I just couldn’t pass it up.
South pond farms is known for their country styled weddings, exquisite culinary and serving as a backdrop to movies and TV shows. Jessica had grown up in Lindsay and therefore this served as an ideal spot for her engagement photos with Sohail. They had made their way from Toronto right after work and got to South Pond Farms just in time for the sunset and in time to get some epic photos of the couple.
The beauty of this location (aside from being a pretty spot) is that it allowed us to capture multiple and varying photos all within a fairly tight knit vicinity. The gorgeous fields at sunset have no substitute and the barn is none like I’ve seen before.
