Just north of the city, towards the north end of York Region there’s a venue that’s different than most. Oakview terrace is situated amongst farmland and beautiful greenery and overlooks a lake; simply put, the perfect backdrop to Stephanie and James’ wedding. Although I’m now based out of Oshawa and do a lot of my wedding photography in and out of Durham Region I grew up in York Region and was really excited to photograph a wedding on some familiar grounds.
The quaint wooden chapel provides an intimate space for the ceremony while the reception hall has ample deck and patio space to unwind after a long night of dancing and celebrating.
As for the couple, Stephanie and James are two of the most easy going and genuine people I’ve had the pleasure to work with. Their bridesmaids and groomsmen… oh boy… I don’t think my cheeks ever hurt so much while being behind the camera, they kept the laughs coming ALL DAY!
